The Japanese conglomerate and multinational Marubeni (est. 1858, 2013 sales: USD 51 billion) has announced that they agrreed to buy the US shrimp importer and distributor Eastern Fish at USD 56.7 mil.
The acquisition will help it to expand more their shrimp business in both Japan and the US.
It is known that seafood sales of Marubeni is USD 230 million per year with a quantity of about 23,000 metric tons.
Today 23 April the Minh Hai Joint Stock Shareholder's Meeting has been held at 8:30 AM in the Meeting Room of Bac Lieu Hotel.
The shareholders were presented the various reports about the Company operation such as the Report of the Board of Management, Report of the Business results in 2010 and plan for 2011, Financial Balance Report, The Profit Distribution Report, the Report of the Board of Controllers, and roadmap to publicize of the in the HCM Stock Market etc....
The annual shareholder meeting for 2011 will be held on 23 April, 2011.
