Sea Minh Hai ranks sixth in export value. A recent VASEP five year statistic data based on Viet Nam Customs reveals that the company ranks sixth in the fishery companies in Viet Nam.
It is known that the top 10 companies in this list are (descending order):
VN Ministry of Fishery said the fishery export value targeted at USD 2.8 billion.
While the export value of fishery product of VN in 2005 is USD 2.65 billion, a 10% increasing as compare to that of 2004, the new targets for 2006 seem moderate. However to ensure to achieve these targes, it is necessary to concentrate on building strong brands, quality standard conformance and traceability. It is also necessary to expand and dig more into possible markets such as EU, Japan and USA.

ACC (Aquaculture Certification Council) Club was announced its formation in a meeting in Ho Chi Minh City on April 28, 2006. In this meeting the ACC quality management system is introduced to many fishery packers so that they know the system, the BAP (Best Aquaculture Practice), certification procedures and requirements.

100 prominent businessmen has been celebrated recently in Ha Noi.
In a live broadcast on Viet Nam national TV chanels, one hundred prominent Vietnamese businessmen has {mosimage} been officially celebrated on October 12, 2006 in Grand Theater in Ha Noi as prominent successful examples of Vietnam businessmen.
These businessmen had been nominated from all locals in Viet Nam and had been selected by a committee based on strict objective criteria out of a list of 586 nominated businessmen.
